Anything done should be done well, and I'm an over-achiever in everything I do. Life is like champagne! I believe that every day is Saturday night, and every Saturday night is New Year's Eve! But doing one thing well "forever" couldn't be more boring. While I excel in music as a classical pianist, my interests are infinite - from science, literature, technology, and electronics to culinary arts, crafts, hobbies, and everything in-between.
Thomas Edison once said "show me a satisfied man and I'll show you a failure". I believe he meant that we should briefly savor our achievements and then move on to conquer something else. Subscribing to that theory, there have been many reincarnations and several careers in my life, corporate and otherwise, all vastly different and equally rewarding. Now, nearing 68, I am enrolled in an academy to train in another profession. Something new - something different - something else to "master". If I fear anything, it's losing my mind.

My hobbies are gardening (I give frequent talks and seminars to local garden clubs on growing roses), watching nature reclaim abandoned urban property (I live in Buffalo, NY, a great place for that), and reading just about anything.
