connaissances douteuses
un système d'éducation plus que suspect
rond rond petit patapon

ils disent croire
mais ne croient en rien

les cochons ont tué le fermier
liberté égalité fraternité
que pour eux
pour nous absolument rien
une nouvelle société d'injustices
un système de justice pour les riches
un système monétaire pour les riches
un système politique pour les riches
à quand la fin des gras cochons
à quand la fin de cette honte
cette société n'est que mensonges
nous y vivons comme des étrangers

Nancy Barker

Nancy Louise Gustafson Barker

Hello Fellow Ilians,
All of you here look like interesting people, and I'm sure those who don't have photos here are equally so. if we have things in common, it would be nice to discover that. To do so, I'll tell a little about myself. For me, The most important quality in others is a good sense of humor. Mine has been tarnished from over two years of fighting brokerage fraud, which has taken lots of time, and involved the IRS -- not fun.
I worked a lot of jobs before retiring early to run a home business. These included fashion salesclerk (at 15), bridal consultant, car hop, seventh-grade teacher, editorial cartoonist and staff writer for a weekly newspaper, free-lance writer, writing tutor. GED teacher, college academic adviser and now a writer/editor and graphic designer for my business, Expresso DTP (Desktop Publishing).
No matter what else is going on and even if I have no spare time, I listen to jazz (sometimes classical too) almost all the time, on KMHD FM, Gresham, Oregon or on my CDs or vinyl. When I have time, I like to read almost anything, especially mysteries, do Sudoku and crossword puzzles, go dancing, do yoga, watch movies, listen to live music -- mostly jazz, blues and classical and watch interesting films. I'm a Portland Trail Blazer fan and a loyal UW Huskies alum. This year it really is "Bow Down to Washington!" in football. I hope it'll be the same in basketball.
Besides Intertel, I belong to Mensa and Triple Nine. I'm interested in investing, old books, fashion, bargain shopping, my Swedish heritage (I've had my DNA done at 23andme). I am curious about almost everything. I have a Ragdoll, Vinnie, who is far too bossy. I would like to learn how to play Scrabble online, how to start a blog and/or how to be a better investor. -- and maybe how to fish. I REALLY want a piano to play again, but have no room, so need to move.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have similar interests: javajive7@gmail.com

Tony Belarmino

Tony (A.K.A. Antonio) Belarmino

I was born in Biddeford, Maine on 21 August 1943 and moved to Sacramento when I was three months old. I have been married to Judy since 25 May 1968, and our daughter, Michelle, was born in 1971. We now live in Turlock, CA.
I have been out of a job since June of 2011 and life is good. I have been an Assemblies of God minister since 1973 and am an on-call crisis chaplain with our denomination's Disaster Response Task Force.
I was separated from the Navy, after 4 ½ years, as a Radarman Second Class.
Some people have paid me for stringing a few words together and I currently have a contract to provide op/ed pieces to the Modesto Bee as a Community Columnist. I like to take pictures and some are displayed around my house and after I die, they might be worth something. I have several tools in my garage that I use to create wood shavings for the smoker tray in my grill. Some of my retirement money goes to finance short term mission trips. I like baseball and have been an Oakland A's fan since 1968.
In 1986 I realized I was smart and joined Mensa. I also qualified for Intertel and 28 years later finally followed up on that qualification because of some low key encouragement from a fellow Mensan. I am the coordinator of the Clergy SIG.

The result of this passion is a foundation named millionways that wants to bring "potentialism" to the world - everyone should do what he or she really loves. In my heart I'm a drummer and I wrote a book about "potentialism", unfortunately only in German so far. Influenced by:
Invictus
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
